Agdatahub is an operator of consent and agricultural data exchange platforms. Its Agriconsent solution is the first agricultural digital identity. It was developed with its two technological partners, Orange Business Services (OBS) and IN Groupe, in order to secure data exchanges by linking the identity of a farmer (natural person) to that of his farm (legal person).

A self-sovereign identity reflecting European values

In this Declaration for a European Cooperation on self-sovereign identity addressed to :

  • Amélie de Montchalin, French Minister for Public Transformation and the Civil Service
  • Clément Beaune, French Secretary of State for European Affairs
  • Cédric O, French Secretary of State for Digital Transition and Electronic Communications

Agdatahub and the 21 other signatories call on the authorities to take up the revision of the eIDAS (Electronic Identification Authentication and Trust Services) regulation in order to “to ensure that all solutions and components of the French digital identity
reflect our core European values“.

Supporting economic growth

In this sense, the European self-sovereign identity is the answer to the issues of cybersecurity and digital trust. For the signatories of the manifesto, “self-sovereign identity will thus support economic growth and reinforce the European single market. As industrial and institutional stakeholders, we are readily able to materialize this vision.

A vision which, to become reality, requires France to join the initiatives led at European level.

Our Agriconsent agricultural digital identity allows farmers to regain control over the use of their data. Together with our technology partners Orange Business Services and IN Groupe and the other signatories of the Manifesto for European cooperation on self-sovereign identity, we are positioning ourselves in favour of a digital identity that will secure data exchanges for all citizens“, points out Sébastien Picardat, CEO of Agdatahub.
